Summer school for incoming students
May 27, 2011NWSA new student orientation will take place June 13 through 24, a half day program in the summer. Budgetary questions delayed setting the date. Freshmen who have made plans overlapping these two weeks should contact the school.

Celebration in memory of James Hunter
May 24, 2011There will be a celebration in honor of James Hunter, NWSA visual arts teacher from its founding until 2009, at ArtSeen Gallery, 2215 NW Second Ave, on Saturday, June 11, from 3 to 6 p.m. For more about James Hunter’s life see the Miami Herald obituary.

May 20, 2011The Florida legislature as agreed to restore $400,000 in funding to the NWSA. This is about half of last year’s amount. The good news is the glass is half full.
